This holiday villa near Nazaré is situated in the heart of the Silver Coast and has an unforgettable view of the Atlantic Ocean. Nestled high on the “Serra de Boa Vista” and in the middle of a natural wonderland, the villa offers you an exquisite holiday experience with its own enclosed “Atlantic observatory”.
The observatory is a wonderful place in the house to sit with a glass of wine or cup of tea while keeping an eye on all the movements at sea. Watch seabirds float on the wind as sailboats glide along the horizon. Look at the port and beach of Nazaré, onto Sitio with its famous ford and the canyon that creates the biggest waves in the world.
On a clear day, you can see the Berlengas islands! After watching the sun set in the sea, the stars are countless at night. . .
The holiday villa is centered around a large open kitchen with a lower splitlevel dining/living room. Outside is a lush garden with spacious terraces, a grove of stone pines (known for their delicious pine nuts) and a view to the beach of Salgado! The “paragliding take off” is nearby, so your view is often peppered by brightly colored paragliders.
Want to get away? Descend the mountain to the beach of Salgado or head just up the hill to the connecting road between Nazaré and São Martinho do Porto (not the main highway but the tourist route!). Near the intersection you will find a good restaurant and a small bakery (both within walking distance of the holiday villa), and it’s a short trip to the nearby shops in Nazaré, Famalicão or São Martinho do Porto. In the vicinity are many beaches as well as beautiful hiking and cycling routes in the hills or the flat hinterland. Alcobaça, the Portuguese “city of love” and home to the magnificent 13th Century Cistercian Gothic Monastery (a World Heritage Site), is a 20 minute drive inland.

Interior of the holiday villa
This classically decorated villa has all the comforts of home and is made to live in! The open kitchen is centrally placed, is large and fully equipped. While cooking, you can share drinks, snacks and stories around the large kitchen island. The adjacent “Atlantic observatory” offers up the perfect spot to take in the panoramic view. Next to the kitchen is access to 2 spacious bedrooms, 1 with en-suite bathroom.
A few stairs lead down to the lower wing with an elegant living room with beautiful furniture, handcrafted dining table and cable television. The large wood fireplace between the kitchen and living room provides warmth and atmosphere. Off the living room is a hall with a stylish guest toilet with wash basin, followed by 2 more beautifully appointed bedrooms and a full bathroom.
Gardens of the holiday villa with view of Nazaré
Enjoy the stately Pines of Salgado! The garden of the villa extends into a magical pine grove perfect for a stroll or a picnic blanket. Collect the pine cones and use the pine nuts in your salad. The large stone courtyard with a view to the garden is located on the wind sheltered side of the house, has shade from morning to evening and lots of sun.
In addition, a smaller terrace with pergola has sun from morning to evening and a view of the beach! Don´t want to sit down? Stroll through the large garden and enjoy the magnificent 360-degree views of Nazaré and Salgado, kick a ball on the huge lawn or meander along the adjacent cliffside trails picking wildflowers and snacking on wild blackberries. Hungry for something more substantial? The BBQ is ready to grill your favorite foods.

We have set a base price for this villa for use by up to 4 guests with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, all on the lower wing. The use of additional rooms in the other wing, max 2 persons per room, is subject to additional charges.

This stunning yet comfortable estate is the perfect place for a lazy holiday, but there is plenty to do in the immediate vicinity of Nazaré and beyond. There are many natural and cultural sightsin the surrounding area and dellightful activitiesto immerse you in a full experience of Portugal. .
Hike down the hillside to the ruins of Igreja de São Gião (said to be the oldest church in Iberia) or the local rock-embedded dinosaur tracks. Check out the markets, swimming beaches, restaurants and nightlife of Nazaré and São Martinho do Porto. Or ask Maurice for the wonderful mountain bike trails!
The beautiful open kitchen invites you to self-cater all your meals. Alternatively you can, like so many Portuguese, eat out at one of the many area lunchrooms and restaurants for breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner.

The appropriate holiday period on the Silver Coast
The villa is available all year round. In summer it stays cool due to the thick natural stone walls, in other periods it can be comfortably heated with the fireplace and/or electric heating radiators in every room.
So of course for summer vacations but also very suitable for longer winterstay, the climate here is wonderful all year round. . The Portuguese sunshine and sea breezes will leave you feeling radiant!
